Station to Station - European Structures

During my internship at Galaxy Grove, I had the opportunity to work on several 3D voxel projects, including creating these European structures for Station to Station. The assets shown here were my introduction to voxel art and the first steps in creating the game Station to Station!

The assets I modelled include:

- Station building
- Residential houses (3 versions, each with 3 texture variants)
- Luxury houses (2 versions, each with 3 texture variants)
- Dairy (cheese farm)
- Milk farm
- Milk and Cheese carriage (prop)
- Grain farm
- Building spot
- 4 Lighting scenarios in Unreal engine (extra)

A big thank you to Joost van Dongen and Dimasvoxel for guiding me on this journey. Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of modeling the first station building for Station to Station! The design was inspired by traditional Dutch stations.

When I started my internship at Galaxy Grove, my first task was designing this batch of European residential houses for the game’s first region. Taking inspiration from Anton Pieck’s style made it a really fun project.

After reevaluating the design, we decided to change the roof of the dairy, as it lacked a distinctive feature, which is crucial for the game’s distant, top-down perspective. To improve this, we added a line pattern to the roof.

As you connect structures to the rail tracks in the game, you can transport the goods they produce, such as milk and cheese. The base of these wagons was created by Dimasvoxel, while I designed these top parts.

I also had the chance to do some lighting tests in Unreal Engine. I experimented with different settings to create a variety of moods and effects.
